Being familiar with the EU policy and the focus of FP7 and other funding programmes, one could argue that public institutions really do promote technology transfer.  Technology transfer is indeed an issue. I guess the people actually DOING technology transfer only have a different understanding about it, they have different perspectives than the people TALKING about TT. Last, but not least, they do not publish their projects using terms of technology transfer etc…. Read more here…

Hello, and thanks for linking to nowEurope!

We’re a team of professionals in the Centrope region (Austria, Hungary, Czechia, Slovakia) supported by an FP7 grant to facilitate technology transfer, and to launch an ICT cluster which supports innovation across borders throughout the region.

We do see a gap between the theories of cluster management and technology transfer – as promoted by the European Commission – and the implementation. The nowEurope blog helps us rally potential collaborators to join our effort. We also use the blog – among ourselves – to study and understand the practical issues involved in doing this.

Hope you find these discussions useful!
